Yep, that's about when the larger boats started getting them. It was a gradual changeover though since carb engines were cheaper, and we are talking about Bayliner after all....
By 2005, most cruisers had MPI but not all.
Bayliner switched to full fuel injection as the current generation of boats came online.

The adoption was gradual and highly dependent on model line. A 2855 started getting them in 1999 with the 7.4L. But the 185 didn't start getting them en masse until just a few years ago.
My bad. Like I said, "A quick comparison on Yachtworld would indicate they went MPI in 2002." Two of those above are the same boat and I never thought to check listings on the other side of the globe. Perhaps some owners have repowered. I know mine has a new port engine.
