Does anyone have any leads to purchase or order Bayliner parts in the Cape Coral, Ft Meyers Florida area or from a Bayliner on-line dealer.... I need to purchase a "Rudder Tie bar" part # 58055 for my "95" 3988. Does any one know if it is available aftermarket. After survey... my Insurance Co. say's it has to be replaced or they will drop me.

You can have one made up at a machine shop but you may have to buy the ends.
Great lakes skipper has the ends for $20
or call Buck Algonquin for a complete stainless unit.

Both MarineMax and Boaters Landing used to find Bayliner parts for owners in Ft Myers, but I recently found that both will/can no longer do so.
York Road Marine on Pine Island is now the local Bayliner rep. My experience with them has been inconsistent as to customer service, but it may be worthwhile to try before you have to seek a long distance vendor.
Please let us know what you find - procuring unique Bayliner parts has become a challenge in the Ft Myers area.
