LED replacement for 245 cabin dome light-gctid804902
LED replacement for 245 cabin dome light-gctid804902
Anyone know of a LED replacement for the 2003 245 cabin dome light, a 2 pin 12V bulb? The Bayliner dome light part number is 1694774. I have one burnt out but I will replace all of them with LED to conserve battery power.
I outfitted my 2858 with ones from that website 4 years ago, G4 LEDs. Total cost was like $15.00 TOTAL. I did the entire boat, all the courtesy lights, radar arch, floor lights. People are critical of the "cheap Chinese" stuff. I did a side by side comparison with my buddies LEDs he got at a marine store for like $18.00 EACH. I think the were Luna Sea brand.....anyway they looked identical side by side and performed identical in adjacent fixtures in my boat. It cost him a couple hundred to do his boat was the difference. Give them a shot, I've been very happy with mine, and the do not run hot in the fixtures. I watched them VERY closely at first because I was even sceptical at first based of of the low price.

What color temp did you get? The original non-led lights were not bright enough imo so I'm thinking a 6000k led which should be much brighter, but hopefully not too bright. I found a 10 pack on Amazon for ~$18.
I just bought a couple of different types on amazon and some are a tad too long to fit in the vertical bulb type fixtures. They are grand in the horizontal type fixtures like the type that are over the table and sin k in my 2859. The shorter bulbs work great in the vertical fixtures. Search for cutequeen g4 led bulbs and kindeep g4 led bulbs. They are quite nice for little money.

If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes.......
I installed mine today, perfect replacement! I like the brighter bulb over the original.
Now I just need to find the right LED replacement for the other two lights, the cockpit courtesy and the one above the steps leading into the cabin. These don't have straight pins,
Good discussion! Does anyone know if these will work with the interior lights on a 288 with Brunswick part # 1694773? I tried some really inexpensive ones I found on Amazon (one of those multi-packs) and they were TERRIBLE! Mine are G4 base and bulb looks similar to the one in pic on website recommended here.

Few things here, the first set of LEDs I got were too bright, it was like a bingo hall in my 2858. So I ordered a set that was advertised a lesser wattage and they were perfect. I went with the warm (yellowish) tint so it was mellow. The 2 overhead lights on the centerline of the interior headliner were done in red for night running, along with the interior and exterior courtesy (floor) lights. The best fit for my fixtures was the flat LED disk with like 6 or 7ish LED diodes. If the prongs on the post are too long and cause a clearance issue they can be snipped down, no problem. I have used product from superbrightleds.com and miniinthebox.com with no problems, and they are CHEAP...so order a few colors....watages and see works out, then put in a final order, just my thoughts.
