I have two Hino 110 HP engines with on 50 amp Denso alternator on each engine. One bank starting batteries: Two 29DC dual purpose batteries, charging from the port alternator. House bank: two 29DC dual purpose batteries charging from the starboard alternator. I would like to add two more 29DC batteries to the house bank, and run an inverter/charger for one 15 amp AC circuit (coffee pot/micro). Any ideas from some of resident electrical experts?
Any diagrams would be appreciated. My thought on using the dual purpose batteries is to keep the system simple as possible and being able to start of the house bank if needed. This is not my best area of knowledge, so hoping for some help before I make a mess (or worse mess) Tried to start from the two L16 I used to have for the house and they weren't quite enough. At present I have a three bank charger. No ACR.
