Does anyone know what the high and lowend oil pressure readings should be for a 1989 5.7 OMC cobra..Im getting 45psi after start up, 30 psi at cruise and around 10 at idle...what should they be? Thanks

What you have is acceptable. I would take off the sender and clean it out or install a new one and try it again. Clean up the connections also on the sender and the ones on the gauge. Post back if there is a change.
Maybe you should tee in a manual gauge.
What oil weight wise are you using ? 30 straight is what i use.

Will do..Probably does need a cleaning....you think the reading are within limits from the factory? I also use straight 30 weight heavy duty from castrol..which is reccommend from the manufacturer...let me know what you think and Ill clean the connections and sending unit tomorrow and post the results.

You don't think that engine will be in factory new spec's do you ? Post back after you tee in a manual gauge and run it a bit.
