Anything post 1987 will use the same crankshaft flange, so there will be no flywheel issues.
Likewise with the center bolt valve covers.
I don't know for sure when the Marine SBC discontinued machining for the mechanical fuel pump.
If your existing set up uses the electric pump, it's a non-issue. Just block off the port if the replacement engine is machined for the mechanical pump.
Also find out when the intake manifold bolt angle changed. This may make a difference regarding re-using your intake manifold.
All you need is cylinder head casting numbers.
NOTE: some cylinder heads are what the GM purists call "light castings". So I'd want to know which cylinder heads are being used on this new engine, and make darn sure that they are correct for the piston selection.
Since the year range is 88-95, one thing that you may loose, would be roller cam followers.

I emailed Bayliner asking this question.
My boat is a 1997 2050ss
Blown engine is Mercruiser 5.7L / 350
Engine Serial# 0k038495
I found a great deal on a new engine, but its replacement for 88-95.
My engine is NOT F/I nor is it the "VORTEC".
Will thi engine drop right in with no mods?
I want to be able to use the same manifolds/elbows/carb/intake manifold blah blah blah.
