On my Half closed cooling system, the manifold and risers saw salt water and the block saw E/G.
On my now, Raw water cooled system, everything sees Salt water.
Now, I've got a fresh water flush inlet that allows me to hook up the hose and run fresh water through the entire system. If I flush after each use, what could I expect in terms of life expectancy of engine, manifolds and risers?
Note: my engine does not use the outdrive for intake, but rather a through hull fitting and seacock which can be closed to stop any sea water from entering the block while the hose is hooked up.
