First of all, I'm a first time poster, so please be gentle! Just bought this boat, and it has power steering. I've noticed that sometimes(most noticeably at slow speeds) when I move the wheel, I feel what I can best describe as a feeling that there is "gravel" in the steering column, along with a little bit of slop. If this is normal for power steering, fine. But, I don't want to let the warranty expire if it's an issue.

It should be smooth. Check the oil level... It's about all you can do. Another thing would be to have a person turn the steering while you inspect the steering components back at the engine. The smaller boats have power steering and they need maintenance (Oil level, greesing). Track it down. This is not anything that is remotely "Normal" in a boat.
