    Difference Between AQ225A, AQ225B, AQ225C and AZ225D-gctid389498

Can anyone tell be the difference between these four engine designation? I ran the block numbers and found my engine is a 1979 305 Chevy in a 1978 Saratoga. It has a Quadrajet carb.

I presume that the Z is a typo!

Go here, and look at the different model numbers.

NOTE: the AQ200B and AQ225B are quite different from A, C and D.

The B uses the belt driven Sherwood sea water pump, and uses 3" exhaust, with a single exhaust relief.

Many of these used the B/W flywheel cover and the V/P PDS adapter housing.
