    Another Jabsco Problem-gctid388604

I do not have the model number of my Jabsco manual toilet. The problem ( I am hoping others have had it too ) is two fold. When in the "fill" mode, water does not come into the bowl ( only a bit ). I do not suspect a problem with the seacock, because the other part of the problem, is when I switch modes to vacate the bowl, it does not really move well in this mode either, so I am adding water from the sink. It seems to operate ( evacuate ) better than it intakes, but neither mode is really good. One seasoned boater said it is a newer toilet . I have had suggestions regaring the joker valve but nothing concrete and I have no owners manual or diagram to go by. Any suggestions or help would be great. Thanks

This LINK may help you understand the parts of your head.

Chances are good that you just need some silicone grease on the pump seals.

If it is a newer Jabsco it may be a simple pump seal issue that blues46 suggests.

If my pump starts being squeeky or pumping gets slower, with the pump in the up position, I unscrew the pump from just under the handle, remove and lather the seal with white lithium grease and replace.

It works much smoother and pumps a greater volume of water.

Thanks for the help. Turned out I needed a joker valve and I replaced the big flat gasket under the pump handle housing.
