Occasionally my tach would get stuck but this season its been totally non-functional. I removed the unit and didn't see any issues with the contacts on the back. Not sure if there are any contacts I should check on the engine side.

It looks like the dealer wants about $120 for this unit. Are there better aftermarket sources for this? Seems like something that would be good to get from a junk yard or something.

If it's a Faria, Faria instruments will recondition it for you, including lens replacement, for $55.00, which includes return shipping. Takes about three weeks. For another $18.00, they'll also recondition your speedometer. It has nothing to do with warranty or original ownership.
