    Stress cracks.-gctid384629

I have a 1997 2355 that I just purchased the boat is in great shape for its age, the interior is awesome but I do have some stress cracks on the back transom area that bug me. They are on the top rail above the engine compartment. I was told that if I sanded them and re-gelcoated them, they would just re appear.

I was thinking of using Rhino liner just on the top rail.

Anyone ever used it before on a boat?

I dont know if rhino liner would attach, it would probably look pretty ghetto. You will see more and more cracks over time, its just how it is when the gelcoat is fatuged over the years. Grinding the cracks out and gelcoating them will work fine, otherwise ignore it. I have had stress cracks on all my boats, its just the nature of the beast.

      Thanks for the reply.

I would vomit if I had stress cracks on your boat. That's a beautiful boat!
