Hello all,
I just got a used 1988 bayliner 28 foot boat. My engine is a Ford 460. The carb was an edelbrock and it was having some problems. I bought a new edelbrock (same model) and I've done some the electric choke. The old edelbrock got its power from the alternator. Everywhere I read it says it says this is bad. Every bit of information says to connect the electric choke to a 12 V key ignition wire. My question is does anyone know where a 12V key ignition line is in the engine compartment that I can splice off of? I'm trying to avoid running new wires from the fuse box inside the cabin all the way to the engine compartment.
More specific can someone tell me an exact wire (and color) to connect the hot wire to?
thanks!
