If you are using medium fluid you have the in-hull transducer. The through hull implies you drill a hole through the hull to mount a transducer and it does not require any fluid. If you have in-hull transducer you should have a mounting flange that is glued to the inside of the hull and filled with fluid before mounting a transducer on top of the flange.
