    Honda bf75 parts needed-gctid345350

I just purchased a MINT condition 1980's BF75 short shaft outboard, my issue is that it needs to be a long shaft for my application, unfortunately this one is a short shaft.Does anyone know of a source / bone yard for these motors ? I am hoping to find a usable lower housing and the rest of the parts to convert this to a long shaft. If that doesn't work out I may have to sell it as is, which would be a shame due to it's pristine condition.

You're 1 year too late! I trashed mine last year after having it lie around for 2 years. I offered it to a marine repair shop for parts but was told that he didn't have enough call for Honda's to be bothered. Hopefully someone else will have a carcass lying in their garage. It'll likely be either off of a sailboat, or used for a kicker by a fisherman.

I found the long shaft housing and drive shaft, made an extension for the shift shaft and water tube. The hardest part was finding paint that would almost match. Now to hook up some fuel and give it a try.

What have any of you guys done / used for internal to external fuel routing for your kickers ?

I have the 3 gallon tank for testing but if the motor proves itself I will connect it to my main tank.
