Has anyone put in a water tight access hatch in the floor of the cuddy on a trophy 2002? I was thinking of doing this because it is hard to know if you are retainning water in the front bilge area. I would like to just look in there from time to time. What do you think?

where is the front bilge area? I just cut out the floor under the table and am installing a new one on top as there was a little water that I think rotted the flooring. I vaccumed the water up but not sure how it was stuck. It was (if your in the cuddy looking aft) to the left of the step under the flooring.

one of the previous owners cut a hole right in front of the step and installed a front bilge pump there on my 99 2002ff... putting it in the water this weekend for first time and interested to see if its going to be needed at all....

I found that there is already an access, it is under the porta potty against the bulkhead next to the step box. I discovered this by reading hours upon hours of posts to the various forums.

Is it in the form of a very small cut out from the floor? I just discovered that and also found some trapped water there. (in cuddy facing aft) to the left of the step?
