Just purchased a 1998 2355 Ciera SE with the 5.0L (305) engine.

2 Questions

What is the HP rating of the engine ?

What is the difference between the regular Ciera and the "SE" option?

My 1999 2452 has a 5.0L carburated engine. It's listed as 220HP.

Don't know abut the SE designation.

Just like car companies, bayliner tried offering a basic and SE trim level for the Ciera boats - SE got nicer upholstry in cabin and on deck, wood tone cabinets, nicer canvas etc.

Mercruiser rated the 5.0 carbed at 220 hp, and the MPI version at 260 hp.

I think that 1998 SE is a anniversary edition

If it is a 305LX, 4BBL it has 235HP

I just edited the thread because i was asking about a 2455 Ciera and i have a 2355 Ciera. (dont think 2455 existed in1998)

I will have to check if its an LX 4BBL. Is there a place i can check online using the boat serial # ?
