    Is this flapper ok?-gctid344808

    I think this is called a Flapper on my VP 270 outdrive. Is it time to replace it or is it still ok?

    Bruce i would take it off and try to bend it back

    mabe upside down with something on it for a week or two

    you cant buy the flapper anymore

    you will have to buy the housing

      That one looks to be home made, as stated you cannot buy the rubber flap separately.

      If you can push it closed with a finger, then the water surging against it will also. If not then you may want to replace it.
