I've deattached the gelgcoat/glass fiber from the inside of the stern on my boat (Bayliner 2455 '00) because I noticed the wood was a bit wet behind the plastics.

What I wonder is if the bottom hull of the boat also consists of wood reinforcement and glassfiber/gelcoat ? or no wood?

Need to know if I have to deattach the plastics from the hull bottom as well to find even more soggy wood..

    Thanks!
Bottom will be glass but you have wood stringers and vertical glassed wood dividers and supports. If you're transom was rotted, you might need to look at the stringers. If you like, PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a scan of the hull layout showing the design with the wood supports. I have some Bayliner catalogs which show an exploded view of the boat.
