Do you mean the boat had a list (lean) to one side? What make/model/year? How were you loaded?

yea it would lean on the side abit. the model is an 89 2655 cierra! and we had like 4 ppl in the back and 2 inside in the cabin, so not that many.

Small boats like that list easily with that many people on board. I'm sure you've noticed that if you just walk from one side to the other, you'll get a couple inches of change in attitude. It's perfectly normal.

Did your boat come with trim tabs? If so, you use those to correct the list once everyone is settled into a position.

My 1950 would do this, sometimes going on plane it would decide it was going to ride a little to port. A quick jerk of the wheel to correct or re-distribute weight should resolve that. Trim tabs also will remedy this annoyance, but it is very common and normal.

The resistance to the propeller spinning in the water means some of the torque is absorbed by rolling the boat to the port side when moving... this is perfectly normal. It will also have a tendency to turn to port, so don't take take your hands off the steering wheel at cruise

Trim tabs should make a significant difference in things. Are they working properly?

I have a ciera2450 and I can almsot steer the boat just using the trim tabs. When people move around on the boat, I simply adjust the tabs and she's level again.

First test the trim tabs to see if they are really working and check the fluid level in the resevoir. If its all working but the tabs still do not let you feather the boat bow and stern level you may need to modify the tabs.

Two ways to do this one add extensions to increase the length. The other way is to add a spacer block between the rams and the tab itself

I went the block route and my tabs now really effect the boat with just slight touches to the switches. In fact they may even be over sesitive for someone not use to them. Only cost incured was a cutting board to use as spacer and some longer bolts.
