  • Raising the Swim Platform-gctid376064

My 2850 Contessa SB is stern heavy due to twin V8s, and I noticed it sits several inches lower in the water than her sistership with a single engine. The swim platform is easily awash with ocean waves and chop while fishing. I would like to raise the swim platform up about 3 or 4 inches higher on the transom.

Has anyone done this, or what would the pitfalls be? Is it as straight forward as drilling new holes and filling the old ones?

    Thoughts?

Its fairly simple, remove hardware, fill old holes with marine tex, seal new ones with 3m 4200.

I lowered mine and will be raising it again siting the same reason you stated
