I have a slight leak in both front windows. I am thinking that an automotic window shop may be able to replace the side caulking to stop the leak. Has anyone else experienced this. In addition, I've had a couple of the plastic window locks break. Has anyone found a place to get replacements? These are the small black locks that fit in the bottom of the window channel.
The caulking around the windows does crack sometimes and alloww leaks. You hav e to dig out all the old sealant (exacto knife works well) and its going to be a lot of work.
Then clean the surfaces as well as you can with denatured alcohol.
Use a marine silicon caulk. NOT 4200 or 5200. The caulk must dry soft, as the glass and fiberglass expand at different rates, and soft cualt allows this. Hard drying caulk will either crak or the glass will.
