Has anybody had a tunnel thruster fitted to a 3055, I would like to fit one but would like some advice, or pics of the insall procedure, Many thanks in advance.
That's a lot of expense and trouble for a boat that doesn't need one. If you're having issues docking it, lessons would be much more cost-effective as well as giving a permanent benefit.
Try these guys, it would save you the cost of the tunnel, and if your handy, you can install it yourself. I have never used this product, but at $3500, would diffently check it out.
Yes, it has been done, and yes, there are pictures of the install on here someplace. Do a search and you should be able to find it. I think it was Brutus that did a nice write up with pics, but I could be wrong, it may have been someone else that did it. But check brutus's album. I think it's in there.
If you have not had the 305 long give it time and practice. The 305 is a great handling boat. Not long after we got ours I spent an afternoon just docking over and over. I would exit the marina and return to our slip. It amused the neighbors but it was very helpful.
Have someone with a similiar boat spend some time giving you pointers.

Practice I wouldn't spend the money after sometime on the water you'll be parking her with no help at all. Little wind maybe maybe you'll need help but the 3055 awesome to control In fact I tend to ask the wife to sit back and relax during launch and docking.
This is by far the most heavily modified 305 around here. Great info and ideas, my favorite is the floor in his cabin. He has added all kinds of stuff and shelves and about anything you could possibly imagine on a 305. Take a gander, I bet ive spent countless hours stairing at his pics and posts. Amazing.
