  • Help Identify Red Cap (pics)-gctid373596

    Hey Gang,

So a while back I found this little guy on top of my engine block, near the carb. I dont know if it fell out of a pocket, or came off from the engine / carb...anyone ever seen one before? It is to stiff to be a priming bulb(not that we have one)....

    thanks for any insight!

It looks more like a protective cap that would be used for a threaded internal fitting to me. I woudl not lose sleep over this guy, lokks like it was just left behind during an installation at one time or another.

Looks like a sealing cap for a circuit breaker, or a priming pump to me.

Some liquid quart containers used to use those to seal it up,now most use a foil wrap you must break open.

Colored, extra short, and extra heavy duty condoms! If they do not fit anyone that you know....., toss them!

Agree.... some sort of temporary cap for a fitting or container.

I'd say it's an FME (foreign material exclusion) cap from something hydraulic like a power steering pump, trim pump, etc.
