    Electrician needed-gctid373287

SO far only ASTRAL BLUE reply to my post (HE IS ALWAYS BIG HELP ).

now im trying to get help from electrician

i have 1977 victoria 2750.my boat does not have the marine panels (ac and dc ).i think that You are familiar what im talking about.i have 2 ac breakers in the engine compartment mounted on the fresh water tank on the port side.one for the water heater and the second for recepticals .there is also in the same spot 4 dc fuses.i want to move everything to the galley.

i will install a normal marine ac panel and dc panel in the galley.what i want is water heater, coffe maker, toaster, cabin light, portable heater and fridge.all this is on the port side ac in the galley.

the starboard side i need ac fridge,tv and one light.do i really need a main braker ?

on the dc panel i need fridge starboard side and and 2 lights.on the port side 2 lights.

i have the big sliding door so if i need a main breaker i can install on the entry to cabin on the starboard side, but i thought that the ac shore cord is the main breaker.

what do i need to buy, which breakers panels, how many brakers

i don`t think that i will be ever on the hook overnight

the other option is something like this :

Here's what I posted in the other thread.

Andrew, the link did not work for me. Can you post an image of this for us?

Andrew, you definitely want and need a main breaker and it will be included in your circuit breaker panel.

Don't be surprised at how expensive some of these are.

      Something like these perhaps.

This is from Great Lakes Skipper..... $137

      No AC Volt Meter.

This one has the slide bar lock-out main breakers that gives you some latitude for power sources.

From your Shore Power inlet fitting, you will power the HOT and Neutral side of the main breaker and make the ground connection.

From the panel, you will branch out to your receptacles very similar to a home installation, but using marine wiring and approved equipment.

I'd be removing the receptacle from the engine bay and also re-wire the WH so that it meets regulations.
