No matter what they may have been for back in 1979, note that they would have been powered from the OEM Mercruiser harness!

IOW, all power would be passing through the Merc round pin connectors.

Many of these older harness connectors were just barely adequate for helm power, Ignition, Nav lights, cabin lights, blower motor, bilge pump, etc,........ and that's about it.

If you want to power any auxiliary items, it would be best to bring a new dedicated Pos/Neg circuit forward, and branch off from that.

They might be spare switches for you to add accessories. I used mine to add lights in the storrage areas.

On my 2004 1802 Trophy, there were two switches marked aux 1 and aux 2, they were extra switches to wire what ever to. Have you looked to see if there is power wired to them, and any wires from them...

Wish i had taken a pic... i have two switches to the left of the wheel that are clearly marked Aux 1 and Aux 2. Anybody have a similar setup, mines a 79... flip em on and i do see or hear anything.. and help would be greatly appreciated
