I would like to know however if using an adapter that splits the VHF Radio Antenna with the TV works. I would really only watch TV while docked at the marina if that makes a difference?

I had one years back.......... PROBLEMS!!! Loss of power when I would transmit, Maybe the newer gizmo is better?? I would try a Google and see if you can find something.

Don't even think about it.
A VHF antenna is not resonant on TV frequencies. In fact, the matching network will attenuate the TV signals a lot.
Read this on TV antennas.
Besides, it causes problems with the VHF, which is your lifeline..........
