I have a 1988 1810 Trophy Bass boat that I bought a year ago. I was replacing the tires and wheels that were pretty rusted. I soaked the lugs in wd40. Replaced one wheel just fine went to the other wheel and sheered of the first lug. Got the rest off fine. These are five lug hubs. My question is what is the common axle size for a trailer? I see that there is different sizes. Would I be ok running just 4 on that wheel?

NO.... take the hub into a good tire shop.
They can replace the stud.
May as well have all of them replaced if there's a chance that they may have been over-burdened during the nut removal.
Grease the threads next time with a water proof grease..... and don't let anyone tell you that this is not acceptable.

There is nothing special to replacing these - it is only a hammer in / out spline bolt.
Pound out the old one with a drift, get a new one from a brake supply store, and hammer it in.
Agree that all should be replaced. They are only about $2 EACH.

I just replaced my hubs (discs) as I wanted new wheels and tyres and couldn't get the new wheels to fit the old 5 stud hubs. As said I replaced the hubs including bearings for only $60 (Australian) each wheel with 5 x 7/16 studs so is this an option for you because aren't the studs connected to the discs. For your info my hubs have disc brakes.

Any Auto Zone, NAPA etc will have replacement studs. The are inexpensive and I would replace all of them. It is a DIY project. Personally I use never-seize on all my wheels.
