I have to refrain myself when I hear the word U-joint rod .... but yes, if these are internally clipped, ishiboo is correct... the Spicer 5-1306X will get you a bearing cross with the zirk fitting in the apex of the cross. Good high quality too boot.
Go to a 4WD Off Road center, or an Industrial Drive Line company to purchase them. Should be about $13 each.
If the universal shaft assembly has been replaced with a later style using the externally clippped bearing caps, then the bearing cross part number changes.
Unsolicited note:
Be careful and watch for the small shims within the washer (aka seal surface washer) when you remove the male yoke from the main drive gear.
This same shim value must be reinstalled, or the rolling torque value at the main drive gear bearings will change.
These are easy to NOT see, and to loose one or two of them.
See the BOC Vault re; Volvo Penta stuff. I think that there's a link to a thread showing disassembly, etc.

Here is a guy's home made DIY 280 transmission disassembly video (pretty much the same as the 270 etc)...., and I must say that he does a pretty darn good job for a first attempt.
While he's not quite using the right terminoloy, he goes slowly and describes each procedure pretty darn well.
