So one of my ongoing annoyances is that the switches for the lights in the forward stateroom are behind the door. Has anyone moved them from their current position to the closet wall?

Cant you hinge the door to swing the other way? Easier than moving the switches I would think:beer-

Absolutely brillant... I have battled that switch behind the door frequently. The problem did not make the top ten list of fixes as I was thinking of moving the light switch.

Here's the style that I used. I don't recall the length but my guess is 3". Might have taken a half hour to install but I'm slow.

A search for "Magnetic door holder" should show lots of places including DoorHardwareUSA.com, TheHardwareHut.com, MyKnobs.com, PullsDirect.com, etc.
I believe the one in the picture above is the Deltana MDH30 magnetic door holder. Cost ranges from about $15 to $25. Prime-Line makes them in plastic and Home Depot carries them online. Lowes in Bellevue carries ones made by Gatehouse with a cost of about $6.
