great 5 days on the boat!-gctid356093

The kids were off from school all last week and we spent some time on the new boat. Lots of cleaning, organizing, projects, etc.

Spent 5-6 hours one day with a heat gun stripping down the toerail teak @ the foredeck since the finish was beyond repair. More sanding ahead of us and then 8-10 coats of epiphanes. Got the dinghy davit winch working AND tested out the 2003 RIB. With the 15hp that thing FLIES! Baked a pizza and some cookies in the oven (hadn't used it yet) and tested out the washer/dryer. Also cruised 10 miles up the river for dinner and some of the best ribs to be had in the area with some friends at the marina that have a 4788...complete with a nice nighttime cruise home back down the TN River.

    LOVING the new boat!!

Look at that beautiful weather. Short sleeves in Tennessee under clear sky's in February yet!! Now nice is that to spend time with the kids at that age. I recommend Imronning the caprail though. Plus 1 for this thread.
