    Scupper replacement

My port scupper broke off where the down spout connects to the hose. How do I replace it? Is there a big nut underneath?

    Hi Glen
If your taking about the Deck Drains in the Cockpit their Shower drains, and yes there should be a nut metal or plastic the rest should be standard PVC elbows, couplers. All available at local hardware stores .....Hope this helps....Brad

Man that’s really hard to get to. Would you use a pipe wrench?

I would use lock jaw pliers, maybe hold nut and turn drain assembly from top side??

As long as your're in there...I'd consider upgrading the cockpit drains. Mine were 'way too small -- they rusted out anyway (as you'd expect a shower drain to do in salt). A wave over the stern would have been trouble. I got the scuppers from Fisheries Supply and probably got the larger thru-hulls from them as well.

      Good luck.
