Whale Feeding Inside Hoonah Harbor-gctid403990

Here are a couple of pics from this afternoon. This humpback was feeding in the harbor near the cold storage. Pretty amazing and humbling to be this close. Came out of the small boat harbor and there he was. We just sat there for several minutes watching. Pics are courteousy of my 13 year old. First one is a little fuzzy as it caught her off guard.

Had a great afternoon after that. Managed to catch a few fish and relax some. The 13 year old also brought us all the way home and even managed to dock us. Great day in SE AK.

Love your post on the whale in Hoonah Harbor. The admiral and I spent a week there in 2003. If you get a chance, give my good friends Stan and Alice Haldane a big HELLO from John and Conne.

Haven't had the pleasure of meeting your friends, but if I do I'll be sure to tell them hello. Hope you're having a great summer. Here's another quick whale pic.
