    Hurth 630A gear questions

I would like to monitor the temperature, and pressure. The manual shows ports for temperature, and "shifting pressure" monitoring. My questions are.
    1. is shifting pressure essentially the system pressure, that holds the clutch plates together?
    2. does anyone know the thread sizes to tap into these ports?

I may have answered my questions. The service manual states the pressure port is "M10 X 1", and the temperature port is "3/8 in". The 3/8 port appears to be NPT, which I find odd on a German transmission. I have pretty much convinced myself what Hurth calls shifting pressure is what I want to monitor. The M10 X 1 appears to be available in a tapered (pipe thread type) thread. I may have to fabricate an adapter if I cant find a pressure sender with this thread. BTW this post is related to my post https://www.baylinerownersclub.org/f...-nmea-addition

Being NPSF threads, will a tapered NPT fitting engage, and seal properly?

We often see NPSF female mating with NPTF male,
          so yes.
