    93(39) 3888 oil cooler housing-gctid400889

Lucky us! It's time to replace the gaskets, etc. in the oil cooler housing. Port engine overheated caused by coolant leaking out.

Who are the best resources for buying replacement gaskets 'O' rings (if needed) for the housing?? I have a great mechanic and he has resources for Hino parts but I'm just wanting to do some comparison shopping.

    Thanks for any advice!

The oil cooler is engine (not raw) water cooled. There is one large and several small paper-type gaskets, and several o-rings. While factory would be nice your mechanic can probably make the paper and use generic o-ring type. If you want factory there are many other posts on this forum on where to go. Good luck, Doug S (Please see Earl's post below, the above for older boats with EH700)

On your engine its a 4 cyl Turbo 210 in that boat. There is no oil cooler gasket just silicon to the block. there are sevaral gaskets from the oil cooler to the housing, and the orings can be out of a univeral metric oring kit .. I have seen the silicon give up and start leaking.. Earl International

I put new oil pads under the engines this spring, no oil on the old ones just some diesel from changing filters. I noticed last weekend after returning from Hannibal that the port engine had leaked a little oil on the SB side. I have not cleaned it off & ran it yet to see for sure where it originated from but my 1st guess is the oil cooler area. Earl would the Cat red hi-temp silicone be the best to use here? Thank you
