Was wondering if anyone out there w/a 4788 has replaced their "stock" Johnson bilge pumps w/ something else. Just curious. I would like to hear what u replaced them with and what was your motivation.
I'VE HAD GOOD SUCCESS WITH THEM, why fix something that's not broke. they are quick to replace and trouble free. If you think you need larger pumps than there is a argument for upgrading. But that would probably mean increasing wire size and through hull size as well. In the seven years I owned a 4788 I never burned up a Johnson pump!
