4788 Mid Bilge Pump Power issues

Hello All - I am working on getting our bilge pumps set up properly. The Mid Bilge Pump has 2 1250 Johnson Pumps. One had failed and caused the manual switches to short out. In testing out the power I find one circuit goes to the manual switches, but there is a second circuit that used to send power to the float switch that has no power to it. I have checked the fuse at the rear panel by the salon door and it is fine....I stripped wire back till I got clean copper but still no luck....what am I missing?

    TIA

You have the circuit path correctly identified

Aft Fuse, to the float switch, then to the pump. Thats the logical signal flow.

The bilge pumps are also wired directly from the float switch to the battery. On my 4588 there is a fused buss bar that provides power to the aft bilge pumps in parallel with the manual switch. Check around the battery for the other end of the dead circuit.

Well I found it. Aft panel fuse connection. Wires looked good....Fuses looked good....I went to switch wires between Mid and aft bilge fuse connections and the mid connector pulled off but left the slide piece on the fuse connector....it was broken but couldn't be seen because the plastic cover was holding it together. A long day to find something so simple. Sheesh!
