    Removing antenna on a 3288-gctid827688

I've got two antenna on a '89 3288 (one on each side) I recently purchased that I'd like to remove (boat will only be used inland on rivers in MN). Was wondering if anyone has done this project and what you might have replaced the antenna brackets with, if anything.

I could leave the brackets on there empty but that look may just annoy me.

    Thanks!

    Well, your options are:

    1). Remove and go boating.

2). Fill the holes and test your skills at gel coat repair. There's a good site for this at boatworkstoday.com.

3). Make a ss plate to cover where the brackets used to be which would also cover #2 if that didn't go well.

Post a few pics of your new to you boat.

You can use white plastic plugs or screw covers similar to those on the radar arch.

I have installed a radar reflector on an extra antenna bracket left there by the PO. Looks great.

The plastic plugs are also a good option.

. this is probably the right answer...

Thanks for the replies. diveguy here's a pic from the water testing... needed a some clean up and polishing but overall was in good shape after the inspection and a couple of issues resolved.
