Out for my first trip south of the Tacoma narrows solo. Just pulled into The dock at Penrose Park. I am at the end of the dock on the west side. I used a lead line and took measurements at the stern, mid and bow. At high tide I have 17.3' at the bow and 18.3' at the stern. The state parks posted tides show 13.1' for the high (exactly when I took my measurements) and a low of -1.0 ear,y tomorrow morning. Based on this I can expect 3.2' at the bow and 4.2' at the stern.
A tide app shows the high to only be 12.2 and the low tomorrow to be -.9. Based on this I would expect a minimum of 4.2 at the bow and 5.2 at the stern.
Any thoughts about the actual draft of the 4788? Am I likely to cause damage if the props touch bottom? I don't know what the bottom is, I would expect fine gravel or mud.
Any local knowledge?
I may sit around until the first low at 3:55 PM which is a 6.0' tide and re measure. Just not sure how accurate tide tables are.
