I was wondering, what is the major differences between a 3788 command bridge and a 3988 motor yacht. In the 1997/2000 range. I have owned a 1989 MY for the last 8 years but really like the galley up and salon area layout of the newer models. What would the 3788 give up in the reduced 2'?
3988: Two heads instead of one. Walk-in engine room and easier outboard engine access. Two seating areas. (Three, if you have a chair by the ice machine) A little less draft and a little more height clearance. Almost 20% heavier. Interestingly the hull dimensions and are quite close. Holding and water tank capacities are the same. The 37 might not have a genny. 37 is propane galley with electric micro/convection. 39 is electric top and oven as well as micro. (assumes no one changed things out)
The 3788 LOA is approximately 41'. It will fit in a 45' slip with a dinghy on the swimstep. The 3988 is a bit longer and may not fit in a 45' slip with a dinghy on the swimstep.

No hatches to lift. Entry by door from cockpit. Hatches lift too if required. Lot roomier. By the way I am 46' overall with anchor and dinghy.
Got it, thanks.

We have our 39' for sale with Dan Byrd of Fairhaven Yachts if you are looking for one. Although, I don't know what area you are in. We are in the Pacific Northwest.
The 39 has two smaller seating areas, the 37 has one larger area. Anyone know how many adults could comfortably sit at one of the 39 dinettes for dinner? It looks like 3 or a cozy 4.

Janas, I had to look and expected the usual not so pristine boat. Yours shows very well. Doubt if it will be for sale very long.
Very much agreed - in fact I was oggling it the other day online, did not realize it was yours. Best of luck with the sale!
