    New strut install-gctid825433

    Any tips on bedding compound and do I need to shim them or just align the engine's

    You really want the centerline of the transmission output shaft and the propeller shaft to be in the straightest line possible. IMO, it would be worth having a shipwright with the laser alignment setup to work through the process with you.

      It may or may not need to be shimmer. If it was previously was.most likely need to. Things move and change you won't know until you do a preliminary fit. Some shims are flat some are slanted.

        Remember; your final shaft alignment needs to be made in the water after it sits for a day, this allows the hull to settle in some.

          5200 seems to be the sealant?

          I have the pattern for the 3988 Strut if anyone need one.
