    Heavy 32xx when loaded-gctid399591

I have full fuel tanks (1400)200 gal diesel @ 7 lbs plus my 310 Avon 15 hp outboard aprox. 300lbs *on the transom mounted on the tilt Davits in a horizontal position.

With full water 50 gal @ 8 lbs this is another 400 lbs. 125 ' 5/16 chain rode plus two anchors on the bow. 35lbs Delta & 33 lbs Bruce. We are loaded for bear. Taking a voyage. Plus supplies loaded in the front cabin.

    **

I have known that when I am loaded for bear the vessel is heavy...

I usually don't run around with this much fuel except at the start of the season. My question is ? the water line Just at the stern is below the water. About 2 " Have other 32xx experience this.

    Looking for some feed back.

    Thanks

Sound right to me, especially with the dinghy and if you have a genset.

Mine is just above the surface when loaded (but no dinghy or gen set and gas engines)

I don't know if all 32s have this or not but ours has a white boot stripe about 3/4" wide at the bottom of the black gelcoat strip on the bottom portion of the hull. This line is goes through the bottom portion of the exhaust port recesses. With half fuel, full water and moderate provisions aboard the bottom of this boot stripe is about 3/4" above the water at the stern and about 2 1/2" above the water at the bow. There used to be more of a difference but I've shuffled things around to try level her out better. Last time on the scales she weighed between 16,000 and 17000 lbs.

That is the best reason for underhulls and an extension my boat sits stern high with a 5 KW genset in the extension and loaded Heavy with provisions and spares

would be nice - but $15k worth of upgrades on a 23 yo boat is a bit tough to justify...

My 3218 sits the same way. White stripe under water at the stern. Have 6.5 gen, 10ft dinghy and 8hp outboard on swim platform. The boat weighs in at 17200 with full fuel. I have seen others with no genny, air, ice machine and dinghy, ( just this last week) and the stripe on theirs was above the water. Price we pay for extras!

When in Melanie Cove last year we saw a 32 that had almost no portion of the black strip showing on the stern, exhaust ports completely submerged, and probably only about 3" showing on the bow, No sign of the boot stripe. I shudder to think what her weight was.
