Hello,

I have another question about my 1986 3270. On my dash at the main helm, I have a switch labeled "Accessory". When I operate this switch, I hear a pump run and have a flow of water coming out of a thru-hull that is the furthest forward on the starboard bow and way up above the water line. I let the pump run for quite a while and the flow did not reduce volume any. It seems that I may be pumping out my freshwater tank. Does anyone know what this switch is doing? Does the freshwater tank have a pump on it that would be pumping it overboard? I have done this several times for almost 5 minutes a time and the volume continues. Any body else have this switch/pump combo?

Sounds to me like a P/O has installed a chain/anchor wash hose and pump. That high thru hull is from the deck locker beside the windless. Look in there and see what you find.

Could be the macerator overboard discharge?

Looks like Terkar was right. There is a faucet in the bow locker that has a hose on it. When I turned on the switch, the water flowed out the hose (faucet was in "open" position) and then out the drain for the locker. That high thru-hull is the drain. This faucet/hose allows you to wash off the anchor chain as it comes aboard, or hose off other areas on the bow. Mystery solved. Thanks!
