Switch in beside shore power panel in 2000 2855 ciera-gctid823119

I have recently acquired a 2000 2855 Ciera and I am finally coming to the end of the lengthy process of restoring the boat. I have been able to identify the purpose of almost all of the switches with the exception of one. To the right of the shore power panel is a rocker switch with a red light below it and I have not been able to identify its purpose. Would someone be able to tell me what is the purpose of this switch.

On my boat [288] it is the water pump switch for the sink.

Is the light in the switch or a separate LED? Is it in the A/C panel or beside it?

Unfortunately it will be tomorrow before I would be able to post a photo. My water switch is beside the sink, this switch is located in the aft cabin, separate and to the right of the shore power panel. It is a rocker style switch and has a red light below the switch. I have tried the switch with 12v only, 110v only and with both on at the same time, I have not been able to get the ;ight to come on.

more than likely it sounds like a 12V switch.

I feel that it is more than likely a 12v as well, now to figure out what it is supposed to operate.

On my 285 , it's the light switch for the aft cabin. Maybe your bulb is burnt out?
