    3988 Big Red Button-gctid818232

I thought it would be easy to find out what it would be but maybe not so much! Lol! I sent a message asking two other 3988 owners what the big red button on the starboard side of the bed in the master stateroom might do and was shocked when they both came back and said "What button?"! Lol! We have a large Red Button at the end of the opening to climb onto the bed and Deb has pushed it with her knee but nothing seems to start or stop! and it is not shown on the schematic and before I start diving into it does anyone else have one and what does its function?

Sorry but had an awful time trying to add any pictures, size, type nothing worked so put them on another web page and here is a link! http://www.tdphotos.ca/viewfinderii. The button is about 2" in diameter. The windlass has its own circuit breaker on the panel and we do not have any controls for the windlass on either helm so one day I will add more controls!

Perhaps it is a circuit breaker for the windless.

Well, I'm really curious because no way is that factory. As far as windlass controls, I have a wireless control with chain counter. Brand is MZ Electronic. Italian works slick.

I have no idea as that is where one of my two return air louvres is located. You can remove the 4 screws on the flat panel above it and lift out the whole panel to see what is what.
