Another option is using Floscan and come at this from what you know you had in the tank vs what you have burned while running. We have had them for years and when we fill up are with in a few gallons of what each meter says we used. The different you ask? The gen set...our new gen set that we are installing right now has flue flow as part of its computer so that fill in delta.

Just sharing as I also have WEMA senders which are great but that is rough I have 3/8 of tank...but not precise as in exactly knowing I had 245 gallons, used 125 there for have 120 less some safety margin (normally 10% that you cannot get out of tank with pickup tubes.

"great ideas to determine remaining fuel."

If you want to know the amounts of remaining fuel many times in the future then Kevin has a great idea.

You could also add fuel site tubes but I prefer Kevin's idea.

If you are only doing this once then pull the fuel level sender and stick the tank for level.

This spring I replaced our innacurate, unreliable fuel senders with WEMA units.

great ideas to determine remaining fuel.

Does anyone have an opinion on pumping the remaining fuel from one tank to the other; then fill the empty tank to know the exact capacity.

    Good idea or faux pa?
Working...
