Yup - vented loop (incomplete?)
Looks like its missing the check valve at the top.
You likely have one of those with the check valve in your port side stern locker for the genset.
This one could be for the washer dryer drain line as the heads are on the other side of the boat.
I am not familiar with an area like that in the bow - are you in the fwd side stateroom below the berths?
Add --btw , is that picture turned 90 degrees from up?

"Smitty, the picture is oriented correctly, unlike my profile pic. It is inside the small storage locker just right of the bottom of the ladder on the stern. Not sure how I got bow and stern confused!.. "
Genset vacuum break for the raw water cooling entering the system - follow the hoses back to the heat x-changer and the exhaust hose area.
Cannot tell real well from the pic but it looks incomplete.

It is complete, if you unscrew the top cover you will find a replaceable duck bill valve.
A loop for the heads is typically near the toilet(s) under the cabinets in the head(s).
The same loop is utilized for the genset breaker - is there one on the other side of the stern in the port as well?
