second fresh water tank option on 3587/4087?-gctid817425

Did Bayliner offer a second fresh water tank option on our boats? I ask because when I check the water tank level, there is space for a switch to check a a second water tank as well. There is a blank plug there on mine, but I'm wondering if that was an option. If so, where was the second tank and how big is it?

I really don't think so since my 3988 has the same setup Tank-1, Tank-2. Most likely Bayliner had plenty of these gauges and also gives the owner the ability to add a tank and sender for future upgrades using one (1) gauge. Something unique on the 3587,4087 is the dual holding tanks (72 gallons total). This is an added bonus to boating families with their three staterooms.

I have a 4087 with 2 water tanks. Its in the lazerette where I assume you could put a generator. Gives me total capacity of 150+ gallons. My water gauge still has the blank switch spot on the right, but as tanks are connected, only have one filler port, I get an accurate reading of how much you have left.
