    Weaver chocks on the flybridge-gctid814321

I have a 540 Meridian (5288) that I would like to install weaver chocks on the fly bridge for the tender. Can they be just screwed down or do they need to be through bolted. Anybody have experience with this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Steve

I've installed them on our fly bridge with just 3M5200 NO screws or bolts for our 12.5AB w/25 hp....No issues whatsoever, also did the same for the crane tie down?? Not sure what its called.

    Good luck Brad

On our M490 and now our 5788 we have Weaver Chocks and they can be screwed directly to the boat deck without the need for through bolting.

I suggest that rather than having permanently mounted chocks, Weaver offer a base plate system that is screwed to the deck, and the chocks slide and lock into the base plates. This makes for a completely clear deck once the tender has been deployed.
