    EH 700 BLOCK DRAIN-gctid809604

On these Hinos, The block drain has a hose going into the bilge. There is no way to put a collecting pan under there. Do you guys just drain it into the bilge and pump it out later?

Johnny, if you're referring to draining the coolant the head pressure will allow some uphill run of the drain line. I drain it into a bucket/vacuum contaInner (my oil sucker). I never allow it to drain into the bilges as it makes a mess and is a PITA to clean up.

I put a longer slightly larger ID hose (clear) around the existing hose and pull it out with a clean wetvac.

Often I would then use that coolant to winterize the raw water side of the engines.

Shop Vac. That's the ticket. Thanks, I have small one on board and four 5 gallon pails too.
